Welcome from the Principal
It is my privilege to welcome you to Dara School, a place where gifted learners not only have the opportunity to flourish but are truly celebrated. Our school exists to meet students’ unique intellectual, social, emotional, and creative needs, offering a space where difference is embraced, and potential is nurtured.
From the moment a student joins us, they are recognised as a whole person, not just for their abilities, but for their individuality, potential, and the journey ahead. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment that grows with each learner, across every stage of their development.
We are guided by core values that reflect the spirit of our students and the purpose of our school: Compassion, Connection, Curiosity, Courage, and Creativity. Our values shape our learning culture and are embedded in how we teach, support, and celebrate our students and inform how engage with our community.
At Dara, we believe in challenging students at their own level, encouraging them to ask deep questions, explore boldly, and grow into thoughtful, ethical individuals. Our learning approach is flexible, student-centred, and designed to support the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally.
Learning at Dara is dynamic and responsive. Our team of passionate educators deliver specialised, student-centred programs that are tailored to each child’s readiness, strengths, and interests. We view curiosity as the spark of deep engagement, and we aim to cultivate a love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
We are committed to fostering a school community where every learner feels safe, valued, and inspired. Together with our dedicated staff and engaged families, we create an environment where gifted learners can thrive and be proud of who they are.
Thank you for being part of the Dara journey.
Warm regards,
Tania Allen
